Generational Equity
Generational Equity has declared that the group began getting serious in their last year of senior high school, when they signed a contract with Hopeless Records on Saint Valentine's Day 2006, just before finishing the school. Their label then sent the group on a labouring circuit agenda, and recorded the EP Put Up or Shut Up later in 2006.
Put Up or Shut Up became Generational Equity's first record to hit the charts, peaking at number 20 on the U.S. Top Indie record albums chart and number 12 on the U.S. Top Heatseekers chart. Put Up or Shut Up comprised freshly registered adaptations of songs from band's preceding record album, The Party Scene, along with 2 fresh songs. After extended touring and promoting to advertise their album, the group commenced registering their 2nd uncut record album.
In 2007 they published their second record album So Wrong, It's Right, which proved to be band;s most commercially fortunate, peaking at number 62 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and achieving the sixth place on the Top Independent Albums chart. The second song from their album, "Dear Maria, Count Me In", which was composed about a striptease artist from their hometown, became their first exclusive to hit the charts, peaking at number eighty-six on the U.S. Pop 100 chart.
